ECM failures on HOT days??

Yo guys, whassup with these things? I have an 88 TPI IROC, and this is the *third* ECM failure I've had, and they all have happened on VERY hot days. Is it that the thing just can't hack high ambient temperatures, it overheats and a component inside fails? Does anyone make a stock replacement 165 ECM that is better built? The one that just failed, a reman from Napa, has been in the car only 4 years.

Thanks.
