I reset the codes by unhooking the battery. Now im getting a code 44 constantly. That means Oxygen sensor is lean. I understand what lean means, but does that mean the Oxygen sensor is bad? I went ahead and pulled it out. Its burnt to heck. The car stalls out all the time when I brake after it gets good and warmed up. Im tired of having to start my car in middle of a stop sign or traffic light. Any insight???

It may be that the O2 sensor is bad. I would check the fuel pressure first. That is certain to cause the issues you are seeing (including the code 44).

Ill see if I have a way of checking the fuel pressure. If fuel pressure is the case, how do I get more fuel pressure? Fuel pressure regulator?

There is a fitting on the fuel rail to connect a gauge. If the pressure is dropping off common causes are: filter is clogged, fuel pump is dying, turtle is leaking, inadequate voltage to fuel pump.

I put the new o2 sensor in. It seems to be running alittle better. i need to drive it around some more to really tell. Ill check all the fuel sources and go from there. Thanks for your help.

Most common source of a lean code is a vac leak... Have you read your plugs? That would indicate if its actually a lean condition or a sensor failure.
