Wide band options?

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a nice wide band tuner to perfectly set my (E4ME) q-jet. I've found different ones like Innovate, PLX and Fast but are there more?

Btw. I'm looking for one with 2 O2 sensors (or option to connect 2). I don't need one with a ALDL or OBD read out or other things I don't need.

At this moment I'm looking at the Fast with 2 sensors but maybe somebody has a better idea?

Greetings Peter

im using a Innovate WB02. i have 1 sensor. i plan on runing 3 bungs, each bank and y-pipe. right now i just have it on the x pipe i made im not ready to fab an exhaust but once its done all just tune my car at the y-pipe then tune each bank if at all possible. i like my innovate works perfect!

Re: Wide band options?

Innovate is a PITA to wire. I think the PLX has only 3 wires to route and a smaller control box. You're doing the right thing by searching for options...I jumped at the LC1 thinking it was the best one and while it seems to work great(knocking on wood)....it was a pain to install.

Re: Wide band options?

Thanks for the answers so far. At first I was looking at the Innovate wide bands but I see they have a bunch of options I don't need.
I'm not really sure if I need to imput my TPS, intake vacuum etc sensors. A rpm based A/F ratio would be nice but my carb isn't tunable to the Nth degree like a injection is.
The Innovate looks like a very capable A/F scanner but the money is also different. That's way (so far) I'm leaning to take a dual WB scanner with less options then the other way around.
Besides the first, any opinions to my thinking?

Greetings Peter

Take a look at Zeitronix www.zeitronix.com A few of us on here run this and love it. I have the Zt-2 and the ZR-2 multigage. It works great and I have the narrowband output going to my ecm. I know you don't need that but it is a very capable product.

SO let me get this straight...it reads wideband for the gauge and narrow band for the ecm at the same time through one o2 sensor? sounds ideal, and you only need one bung then too

The innovate will do this too...I assume most of them will...but you should definitely research what it WILL do.

The LC1 has 2 outputs. They can be programmed to both be narrow, wide, or a combo...or even I believe a custom output.

I have both of mine set up to be wide. One to my O-Meter and the other to my ECM to dump data out to the laptop for datalogging. I've still got my NB 02 running the main ECM input...and will go back to it when I get done with the tune.

My question is...I've heard of lots of issues with the WBs being unreliable for use as the primary 02. Are there any of these WBs that don't have this issue or have less of an issue than others?
