Anybody using this? V6 Performance chip questions
http://www.thepartsbin.com/catalog/?...120331&x=0&y=0
I came across this today and I'm just wondering if anyone's ever used this or tried this or has anything to say about them. It's a V6 car so its harder to find things like this for my car versus a good V8.
It says that it makes the car make more power of course, but fuel efficiency is also a big thing with me. Right now I can get 29-30 reliably, but I'll settle for 26-27 with a good chip.
I just need some help with this subject matter, haha. Any and all is appreciated!

Re: Anybody using this? V6 Performance chip questions
Hypertech chips are an absolute waste of money.
There isn't much power to be gained on a stock V6 with tuning, maybe 5-6 HP and a few ft-lbs of TQ. Hypertech V6 chips have been dyno proven to actually make the same and in some cases less power than stock. Your money is much better spent elsewhere.
Headers and a decent exhaust would be a worthwhile investment.

oh god no, those are about as useful as limp-home mode...
i swear, buying a chip burner and ALDL cable must have been one of the most useful things i've bought in a long time...

I wanted to get an ALDL cable and get a program on my laptop to tune my engine that way, but chances are I would mess something up haha
