Can't save BIN with TunerPro

I just got a EBL P4 Flash. This is my first time doing any tuning. I'm trying to change the injector flow rate and timing. When I try to save it, it says "could not write to change log file." It also will not let me save the BIN. Also how do I change from a 1 bar MAP to a 2 bar MAP in TunerPro? Thanks.

Vista or WIN7? May be the security settings on your laptop/PC. Try setting Tuner Pro to run as administrator:

Right click on the shortcut and check the line that says "Run as Administrator." Then try again.

If that works then do the same for the What's Up Display.

Set this option flag: Option Word 2 - Bit 3 - 2-Bar

Also, lower the TPS% requirements for PE mode:

PE - TPS% Enable Threshold

40% across the board is a good value.

I'm using windows 7. I tried the "run as administrator" and it didn't work. I got everything else figured out. It seems like it is saving the changes I make, I just can't save the BIN. I can't flash it if it isn't saved, right?

If TP doesn't save the BIN, then no sense in flashing it.

Maybe need to contact Mark as to why this is occurring. Doesn't make sense to me.

Re: Can't save BIN with TunerPro

the BIN is being saved, i bet, however, the changelog that TP creates sounds like it isn't being created/modified correctly.

make a change to the BIN, save it, then check the file in windows explorer, see if the "last modified" date has changed.

Re: Can't save BIN with TunerPro

If I do "save bin as" it does save it. I can change the constants and it saves them, but when I change try to change a table it won't save it. When I hit "execute" it executes, but when I hit "commit" it won't save. Even when I try to "save bin as" the tables don't save.

Turn the emulation off.

The terms you are using "commit," "execute," etc are all while using emulation.

I'm using regular Tuner Pro and not RT. It says emulation is only available on RT. I'm new to tuning and could use a little more detail on this please.

Re: Can't save BIN with TunerPro

Thats funny... I would uninstall TunerPro. Once uninstalled, Please move files/bin to another folder/location on the hard drive.

(If you want to take extra precaution, go ahead and disable your antivirus before re downloading it, make sure it is disabled while you are about to save it as well. Although at your own risk of course, once you get it to work, enable it and see if the problem happens again.... with the antivirus enabled)

Then go ahead an reinstall TunerPro and load up the XDF. Once you got the XDF loaded, try loading up the bin.

Change the map setting, save it, then try to save the bin.

Re: Can't save BIN with TunerPro

I downloaded Tunerpro RT and it saves the tables. Not sure what the problem was with the regular Tunerpro.
