Hey fellas, a friend of mine is having some issues after swapping a complete 89 TPI 350 w/trans into a 78 T/A all stock motor nothing fancy. The car starts just fine, but when you put it in gear it stalls. The timing is mechanically set to 10* initial and also in the chip. I have tons of experience with 730, but very little with MAF tuning. He had a chip burned from Arizona Speed to remove VATS and added some timing. My question is; Does the 165 ecm automatically add the initial to the spark table or do you have compensate when doing that table? I say that because I know 730 does. Thanks for your help. I really think this guy has other issues.

You are referring to pin B10 Park/neutral SW right? He ordered a painless harness and I did not have anything to do with install. Another buddy of mine is trouble shooting his install because he is local.
