Problem understanding the vacuum diagram?

I hope I have posted in right sec. Anyway I have a pin of my vacuum diagram and was wondering if someone can help me figure out the route these hoses go? I also cant understand the thermostatic vacuum switch connection? as you can see the tva diagram seems different from the carb diagram. Anyway can someone please help me, thank you!

Re: Problem understanding the vacuum diagram?

If this is a US car (not an export that was re-imported), then the carb diagram should be correct. As the EGR valve is under control of the ECM via the solenoid.

A car that was built without an ECM would use the other diagram.

Re: Problem understanding the vacuum diagram?

Theyre not hard to understand. So Ill try to help out with the images you posted.

EGR solenoid is the same basic thing as a Thermostatic vacumn switch. One uses the ECU and the other uses coolant. Nothing special there, its just a check valve, one line to engine vacuum, one line to EGR.

Any other particular questions?
