ECM/PROM issues, no starting

I have spend the last few days on the search function and here I am.

History: Recently bought a 1990 camaro RS convert 305 TBI. Car ran, some idle issues, but now no start just cranks all day long, no fuel to the injectors (tested the pump 11PSI).

PO did a T5 swap, VATS bypass (Chip spliced into ECM Harness), and when I pulled the comp due to the strobing SES I found: ECM 1228062. Seems like its the wrong ECM, but PO gave me all the recipes for everything replaced on the car and so I just went to Advanced Auto to get a replacement since he ordered one almost a year ago. Calpack say 16051460. All my searching tells me that both are wrong for my engine, but the car was driven to my house 1.5 hour drive. What do I need to do? Seems I need a 1228746 ECM and have no Idea what PROM to get.

I'm all sorts of confused now!! Will the PROM and Calpack work with the new ECM (remanufactured) thats on order?

Re: ECM/PROM issues, no starting

The rapidly flashing SES is due to either a missing EPROM, or the wrong EPROM. An '8062 ECM isn't the right one for your car but it can run the engine OK. Just needs the proper PROM. The '8062 ECM is the truck equivalent to the '88 '8063 car (f & B body) ECM.

A '90 f-body should have the 1228746 ECM

With the rapidly flashing SES the ECM is in limp mode. Make sure that the smaller 16-pin DIP chip is in place. That is the limp calibration.

RBob.

Thanks RBob. The DIP is in. I hope a new ECM and replacing my PROM and Calpack will fix my no start issue.

So I finally got back to my project and I think I screwed up. I connected the battery before installing the ECM. I know thats wrong and the SES light still blinks. I think its the PROM since now I have the right ECM for my car, get fuel to the injectors, but car wont start.
