Re: 85 tpi harness to 91
I am currently swapping a 90 speed density harness into my 85 car. There are a few changes that have to be made to c100 connector pin outs. The c100 connector is the large electrical connector that bolts to the firewall down by the brake booster.

A '91 into a '91...no changes, it's plug and play.

I just need to know what pins to move in the bulkhead. I already have the 91 harness.

Re: 85 tpi harness to 91
I don't have pictures handy at the moment. Just search for a picture of the 85 c100 connector and the 91 c100 connector. Then just compare them to each other to see where the differences are at.

So I just swap pins on the c100 to match the 85s?

Yes if the car is an 85, it would be easier to change the pins on the 91 harness to match those for the 85.

Re: 85 tpi harness to 91
There are a lot of pins in that '91 harness that would have nothing to connect to on the other side of the '85 bulkhead connector.
They changed the way the system gets power to the devices.
You would have to add a lot of connections to the inside of the bulkhead on the '85 car to feed the components under the hood and devices under the hood that feed things inside the car.
That would be a huge task.
Hope your up to it.

You can still use the 86-89 maf harness and ecm. Not the greatest, but an improvement from the 85 ecm.

Re: 85 tpi harness to 91
Yes, an EBL Flash ECM with the Port Mod will run your '85 TPI set up. Although it requires a MAP sensor be added and some re-pinning of the ECM harness connectors. Email me for more information on this swap.
It sounds like you want to update from the '85 ECM to a '90 - '92 ECM? Mike did this in two steps, first to the '86 - '89 '7165 ECM, then from it to the '90 - '92 ECM. His web site:
http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap/
http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap_730/
He used the original harness doing this. Which is the easiest way to go.

Re: 85 tpi harness to 91
For an '85 through '89 TPI car, the EBL Flash with the Port Mod is the easiest to swap in. There are fewer pin changes for the '86 - '89 ECMs then the '85 ECM. But it works with both.
For the '90 - '92 TPI set ups the EBL P4 Flash ECM is plug & play. The EBL P4 can be used for the '85 - '89 TPI cars, but it is a lot of re-pinning to get there.
