Need help choosing Aftermarket EFI
Hello i am new to the boards but i have been lurking for a while. i tried searching but there is not much to go on.
I own a 1992 RS 305 Auto that i bought as a rolling chassis from a couple of friends of mine. I am a mustang nut but i have a love of all makes and models even imports. So i decided to tackle a Camaro, problem is this car is a parts car that i am trying to get running again.
The original plan was to go simple and just drop in a 350 out of a 70's pick up my cousin gave me for free with a small carb and a 700R4. But now plans have changed and i want to road race the car so the 350 will stay but the 700R4 will be replaced with a T5 and the carb with EFI. My main road block is that this car does not have any wiring or ECM and junk yards around here are picked clean of any 305 or 350s with their respective ECM, even LT1s are hard to find. So my other option is to go with aftermarket EFI.
I am torn between the Edelbrock E-street and the FAST EZ EFI 2.0 master kits. But i have heard of A LOT of problems with the EZ EFI 2.0, mainly with their wring. Would it be better to look at the EZ EFI 1.0 instead? And how do they compare to the E-street? I know these are expensive but i would rather have something self tune than try hunting down another parts car to try and make everything work.

Best bang for the buck for self learning is dynamic efi Ebl p4. But that depends how aggressive of a cam are your going to use . Mostly stock tbi 89-92 would be the cheapest option a 1228746 ECM look in the classified section. The t5 will be short live with a lot of hp in front of it.

Don't plan on going crazy with HP. I would like to run this car in CMC or AI, and even with that my local track is small enough that big HP does not help at all. So i plan to stick to 200-300 HP range.

Just curious, if you're going to go road racing why are you wanting a Throttle body setup and not multiport?
Facts, EZ 1.0 and E Street do not have spark control, big downfall.
Imo I'd grab an old TPI setup and put a real good modern controller on it, something like an Accel, AEM or Holley HP. All those mentioned have either multiple transient fueling tables and/or real fast processors. That's what will give you the throttle response needed for a good road race application.
Thanks.

Holley Terminator EFI...hands down. This is a very easy setup to install and is a direct replacement for a carb. Simple inexpensive manifold change and install this and you are done. The most amazing and fast learn system to date and very user friendly. Also an amazingly capable complete vehicle managemnet system. Has many user programmable IOs which is a huge plus. The biggest plus is that this system is fine tuneable with a laptop unlike its competitors that are sealed units that only have a touch pendant.

terminator efi may be the best in the market right now (they certainly advertise more than msd atomic efi) but the cost of either is just outrageous if you ask me.

Kind of like MAC vs Windows vs Linux I guess.
