aftermarket ecm
aftermarket ecm
What are my options for getting rid of the stock ecm? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each system? What is required for each? I'm very interested in this but can't seem to find anyone that wants to tell me anything about it.

First thing to do is a search on this site, namely the TPI forum, Chip Burning, Aftermarket, and this one. Secondly, you have to ask yourself why you want to get rid of the original. The stock ECM can be used for most aps. All you have to do is learn and aquire the equipment to burn chips. If you're set on changing, just to change, I like my DFI.
Well, I posted a similar question as well. I would also appreciate an answer to this question. I think my Stock ECM is bad. That is why I'm looking into the Turbo City ECM, it can be found @, http://www.turbocity.com/CorvetteCro...ECMUpgrade.htm , but that is only for Cross-fire vehicles. I want to know if there is a big difference between that and the stock ECM.
