Hi, I have an 87 with the 305 4bbl engine. I would like to know what this rather primitive ECM controls on this engine. I also have a question on the prom. I understand that's its not possible to custom a prom for this engine, correct me if I am wrong. The reason I ask, is that I put my car through emission testing and it passed nicely. I then removed all the smog equipment and had it tested once again. It had better readings than when the smog stuff was on the engine. (Note, in my state, cars over 25 years do not need testing, either sniffer or under hood inspection)

I want to know if anything has to be adjusted for the missing pollution equipment.

I have gotten in contact with few companies on the internet that do custom proms and they all tell me that they do not have the software to do a custom.

What are your thoughts?
