Brake warning light, linked to ECM?
Deleted the ECM on an 85 firebird, I was expecting a permanent CEL after the delete but I'm also getting a "brake" warning light. Is this also tied to the ECM? I don't rember unplugging anything tied to the brake system is what has me confused.

I'm not sure, but what about the switch on the brake distribution block? Is the wire still connected?

Yes the wire is still going to the block below the master cylinder, I didn't touch anything wiring wise except the ECM harness. I worked the park brake lever about 50 times and it went away, but now the light doesn't come on when I set the park brake. Think the switch is dead or the wire is faulty. Going to get a new switch and pull the center console.
