Determining ECU number
Hi Guys,
Im from South Africa and have come across a 1985 Z28 Camaro IROC-Z with only 4014 original owner miles on the clock. the car has been sitting for quite some time. i have noticed that the ECU is missing apart from a windscreen, new lock set i need the original ECU. how do i go about sourcing the correct one for this car?

If your tpi it’s a 1226870. You can find on eBay.

You can look at the prom to see if it’s for a 305 automatic
. You might want to ask this seller for the letters off the prom.

Any of the 305 Automatic codes will work

There is another thing you might need. That is the maf relays. They are in a separate box that piggybacks on the ecm.
