The 16146696 has the letters atrj on it. It’s a old program that has been updated to bawx

and the 1991 ARPL, ARPK, BAWX 16176864
there is a different number

 

The bawx will work for 90-92

 

the only difference i know is that the 1990 3.1 has the secondary air inj. before the o2 sensor and the 1991,1992 after the o2 sensor directly into the cat
so this makes no difference ?

 

I would think if that’s the case it would make a difference if the o2 is seeing additional air it needs to compensate.
Your only option might be to ask in the diy prom section for the 90 binary program.

 

so i bought a ARPL ,listet for 1991 and 1992 only i hope this works on my 1990
do you have any information why the 1990 3.1 memcal is differend ? or just a better prom for the later models

 

I don’t know why the binary program is different in 90.
The letters on the memcal or bcc identifys the usage. Gear ratio/ transmission type , year used , application.
engine size.
you can do a file compare using tunerpro to see the differences.
