Help decoding flashing engine codes
Wondering if anyone can help me figure out what my car is telling me. I've tried decoding it myself, but the sequence is too fast for me to understand.

Turn down your audio, the clip has a high pitch ring to it

Yeah, I'll post another video tomorrow once I finish replacing the dash lights. If it helps, the "Clicking" in the video was in sync with the flashing.
Re: Help decoding flashing engine codes
Are you putting the key in run with the A and B terminals jumpered together? Or is it just flickering when you turn the key without jumping the terminals? Some OBD cars will send a signal for scan tools that contains all the codes in quick succession, so they don't have to sit thru the codes. Usually that looks kind of like what your recording shows since the signal is so fast there's hardly enough time between pulses to tell the light is powering off before it lights up again. But on a thirdgen, you should get code twelve two or three times at the start to indicate the computer is in diagnostic mode. It goes so slow you only miss codes because you get bored as the code flashes three times and get distracted.
If it's doing that without being jumpered, I'd try another bulb or look for a damaged wire. If it's happening with A & B jumped, you might want to make sure your jumper is making a good connection.

Re: Help decoding flashing engine codes
Thanks for the info (and laugh) Drew. This happened while jumping. I will try a new wire tomorrow tomorrow in case I was using a bad one.
Update: Tried again with a new wire and got the codes. 14 & 32, time to play with some heat sensors and vacuum lines.
