ECM REPLACEMENT

I pulled the ecm from my 1989 iroc with a tpi and vin 8. I found out it has a cardone ecu with a delco APYN 3496 chip. I am wanting to go back factory with the ecm and prom but I am having a hard time finding either online. Does anyone know what part number I should be looking for or who would have these in stock.
Thanks

Re: ECM REPLACEMENT

Thanks for info I found that number by reading threads and I have searched all day including the delco and gm parts website they either say not found or I can not find the ecm available anywhere. Do you have any suggestions or know who might carry the ecm?
Thanks

Re: ECM REPLACEMENT

If your wanting one with a sticker different than your remanufactured one look on eBay or post in the classifieds wanted section.

Re: ECM REPLACEMENT

A newer number for the '7165 ECM: 16198259

Note that the cardone ECM is an OEM GM ECM.

RBob.

Re: ECM REPLACEMENT

I just now saw this string and wanted to add my two cents. I was able to get an ACDelco GM remanufactured ECM from my Chevy parts dealer just last month, so I know that they're out there! Good luck!
