I don't believe it's a huge problem, but I'm simply concerned the chip/memcal isn't all the way into the prongs. The ecu case was closed with the stock chip in. I attached the adapter and connected it to the ecu pins, car starts and everything seems good, but the stock chip(part that the adapter plugs into?) prevents me from putting the metal plate back onto the ecu. Is this normal for some adapters or could this have something to do with my ecu being remanufactured?

 

Solder in a d2 or remove memcal blue cover if moates piggyback. Can always make a foam gasket it is another piggyback that sticks up especially if you use a zif.
