Enteral tune coming together and looking for some guidance on reading my LOGs. This log shows leaning on standing WOT up to 14.7 AFR, it interestingly follows the AE tip ins - some questions for the experts...

1. The leaning event - is it really simultaneous to the initial AE's or or preceding them (a LOG anomaly)?
2. Am I going too rich as it drops into the low 11's quickly?
3. Looking at AE logging, do you think more TPS AE would help alleviate that leaning?
4. Am I running too much AE i.e. getting too rich? or Does MAP-TPS mix needs tweaking? or Simply your recommendations?

Running about a.5.6, 0 to 60 and thinking I should be under 5 with my set up - at least shooting for that, thanks.

Am I asking the wrong questions here? No comments yet?

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
You're overthinking your fueling. Look at your timing very closely. Your SA idle state is good, but it's not increasing as your RPM rises, it's decreasing. Looks as if you are running a 3500-RPM stall speed as well... at 100% TPS off idle, your timing needs to increase off of your SA idle state which appears to be around 24*, and be fully in by 3000-RPM. You're only at 19* at 3000-RPM wide open throttle, it's going the wrong way...

Thanks, will look at my SA tables, do some comparisons to others and rework. Will post... Now, if you could talk Buc into sending me his I'd really have something to look at. 😁

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
Okay, I made a few adjustments that I sent you. You were running Open Loop, so I re-enabled Closed Loop. However, the BPC in your Bin looks a little off. Give me your injector size, as well as your fuel pressure, with or without any vacuum reference, I need to confirm/finalize it...

Been staying out of closed loop intentionally thinking my VE's weren't there yet but OK. Running 90# injectors @ an FP of 20 w/o Vac adj. I have a VRVFPR.

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
Okay... based on that information you just provided the BPC is definitely off. I will take care of that for you, and I will also adjust the AE values because they will need to be changed as well. I will send you another Bin with those two areas updated in a few. Disregard the first Bin that was sent earlier because these areas need to be updated/addressed to dial in the VE properly.

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
You had adjusted the AE too much. I placed it back to the LO3 specs (55#), then multiplied by 0.61;

55/90 = 0.61

Also adjusted DFCO, Was going to adjust the Highway Mode, but I seen you disabled it so I left it alone. I just sent over a second Bin with the changes/corrections to the BPC, as well as the AE and a few other areas, Just get me a quick datalog from cold to hot so I can finalize the BLM...

Also gave you a better timing table, and quicker throttle response.

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
By the way, I also adjusted your IAC control during idle, your PE trigger points, and Launch Mode.

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
Okay, first datalog received. I had Closed Loop enable at 115* F, IAC steps are perfect throughout. VE is pegged Rich though, pulling a high percentage of fuel out of the VE table to Lean it out, and will send you the next Bin immediately after. Will continue doing this until I see a change in the VE, as the goal is of course stoich (128/128) at idle...

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
Alright, just sent over the next Bin. Pulled a lot of fuel out of the VE tables because your INT was down near 98, I also gave you an RPM cut of 6000-RPM so you don't over rev the engine when we get into heavy throttle. Just send over another datalog of a warm idle in Closed Loop, could be ten seconds long, that's all I need....

Okay, INT went from 98 to 110. It's getting there, Just pulled more fuel out, Bin sent.

One more datalog needed, same exact way....

EBL laptop does not have a wifi connection so I'm jumping around on this - reason for slow responses

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
Once I see 128/128, or even 124/ 132, just as long as the average is close, take it for a spin and get on it. Datalog during the test run of course, and watch for knock as we dial in the part throttle and wide open fuel...

Re: LOG Event Reading/AE Tuning
What we'll do is finalize the idle AFR tonight. I just pulled even more fuel out, as it is getting closer and closer to 120 BLM. The idle will smooth out even more once it reaches 125 BLM, and it will feel really smooth. Sent over the next Bin. Once we see 125 or 128, we'll call it a night and will wrap it up when the weather gets better so you can make some pulls. But tonight lets wrap up the idle AFR...

I hate to jump into this awesome thread. But I'm so excited to find someone that can help with tuning remotely 😁.
Can you help me with a tune on my 88 TPI 5.0L stock with rear mount Turbo W/EBL flash? It has an initial tune but needs some fine tuning.
Please 🙏 I'll pay for your time⁉️
