For a 27C256 EPROM?

I also found this http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...tem=1346479448 but the bidding got too high for me.

Go to www.google.com and find the Manufacturer. Then contact them and see if the unit is still made and if they have any information on it. It woudl be nice to see if they still "support it" and if you can get it repaired if it breaks/is broken.

I don't see an mention of "software disks" which are generally needed to transfer the Bin from your computer's hard drive to the actual burner. Without the software, it's kind of useless and possibly why the seller is dumping it.

Also, for MAF/SD cars, most guys are going to the Atmel AT29C256s. Again, the software to transfer the BIN to the Burner must support the Atmel AT29C256.

But those are some hints to do some more investigating.

Glen, Does the Pocket Programmer burn the Atmel chip? I might just save up some money and buy it from the maker.

Yes, it does.

You can see a listing of chips it can burn at their website.
