Flash prom programming using pp2

Have been trying to go thru the instructions for pp2 and have some questions concerning loading the buffer etc?

how do u double load the bin in?
is it better to dbleload or put in once and flag the rest as 00000?
and if so how do u actually go about doing said?

I did search the posts and couldnt find a concrete answer to these topics so if there is please feel free to link it here so i have a reference...

Basically i need some info on burning proms with the pp2 for dummies lol....I have been beating my head into the wall making diacom and tunercat work, so any knowledge passed to me would be eternaly grateful and worth a beer or 10 if u ever make it out this way :-)

someone could give me the quick and the dirty, it would be greatly appreciated
thanks
jeremy
PS using the atmel flash proms from pioneer as glenn recommended in one of his posts

I am just like you very confused. I dont know what exactly to load as it says "Device not in socket". I have a common delco chip which device would that be?

Look at the bottom of the tech article. There is a table that will tell you what kind of EPROM is in your car.

Actually i tried with a maf chip and the programmer worked fine. I selected the correct device for the map chip and it still wont read it. The numbers on the chip read 014 045915 ad9129b. I used 27c256 and it still doesnt read.

As lame as this sounds it happened to me at first, there is a top and bottom to the chip one end should have a notch cut in the middle. Make sure that end is pointing away from you. Or towards the top od the pp2.
