LG4 chip
ok, i took out the stock chip and on my jet chip, it doesnt say which way to put it in, so i just put it in whichever way. But, I disconnected the negative to the battery cause i thought it needed to reset, plugged it abck up. Then started it up and the "service engine light coems on". Did i put the chip in wrong, or do i need to disconnect the negative to the batttery longeR? Please help, thanks,.
if you plugged it in the wrong way it will through a code, I believe a 51, pull the codes using the aldl and see what code it is throwing.
If it is a 51, you probably installed the calibration chip in backwards, and most likely it is cooked, but you could try to re-install it correctly.
The chips have an indentation/orientation mark on one end and it has to be installed in the ecm pointing in the right direction. (I don't know which way)

My suggestion is to switch the eprom around to see if it works.
