i have burnt some chips with success
but i am trying to read a ed wright chip
so i can turn the fans on earlier and raise
the idle speed with a/c turn on but i am having
difficulty ... i turn on the program , put the chip in
click on move to buffer , save buffer but when
i try to open it with tuner cat it is empty - no values
what am i doing wrong ??

Some aftermarket chips have the information scrambled in them. Basically, it's a different mask they use. You should get some info there but probably not the correct info. Do you mean to say that there is nothing there or nothing that makes sense? What mask is it?

 

there is nothing , no values , just zero's
on all fields . is there a step i am leaving out
on trying to upload the chip to the programmer

Might be using a different sized chip.
Might cut your loses, and work on something meaningful.

 

just for fun i tried to load a chip i burned
and was unable to do that , same thing
no values in any fields , i use a at29c256
chip and i have no problem burning chip
but i am still unable read an existing chip
