read read read...burning 16kb to 32 kb chip

How do I do it? I have looked and looked forever and I still can't find the procedure...please help me out guys.. Iam using pocket programmer 2 burn program..

you need to set your programmer to $4000. the bin needs to be in the upper half of the prom to run correctly. cheers, Bob

Click this link. I had the same problem a week ago trying to use an AT29C256 chip for an 89 ecm which takes 128 chips.

I always skip the step of programming FF's to the AT29C256. I just load the buffer and hit program. Haven't had a failed verify yet. Maybe the PP2 does this automatically? Or is it really necessary to start with all 1's - I don't think so based on my results.

There were some problems with the DOS version of the PP software where the FF stuff seemed to help. The win version seems to work without a hitch...

Is that "=" sign required/optional??? I've been using

copy/b 16k.bin+16k.bin 32k.bin

And it has always worked perfectly...
