Bad IAC?
Bad IAC?
As I'm examining my scan log, I've discovered another problem area. My IAC seems to be sticking because my Present IAC steps in the log are always way off from target. When I look at my high throttle portions of the log (greater then 50%), target IAC is 0, yet present IAC was 110, 85, and 90 on three different occasions. It would reach that setting and stick there for the duration of that throttle run. When I backed off or stopped for idle, target values would be in the 100-120 range and present IAC values would be in the 150-160 range. This looks like a mechanical problem to me. Is there anything else I should be checking on the ECM side? Could a stuck open IAC cause my slightly high BLM value problem? (BLMs are in the 135-145 range, as mentioned in my other post)
Ok. Another discovery. My BLM values are always highest when my Present IAC is highest. I get 143-146 BLM values when my IAC is in the 140 range and I get 135 BLM values when my IAC is in the 80-90 range. This is pretty consistent across the entire log, and all BLM cells. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Can I get a yay or nay?
