WinXP and PP don't mix
Get a "privileged instruction" error when trying to run the PP software. I went to xtronics website and it looks like they have an upgrade but they ask for a password. Did you guys all get passwords or something with your PP, because I didn't so is this a new thing?
Kind of a big FU for some of there older customers I think.

I had some problem with that, but looks like it's working now. Every now & then it does that, don't know why.
Check your Windows/system directory and make sure you have 'ntport' and 'zntport' present. This seemed to be an issue early in the exercise.
Make sure you don't have anything conflicting (ie. port management software running in the background)...

Thanks for the help Craig. Seems its still doing it though.
xtronics tells me to buy a $50 update. They don't even say it will fix my problem. Wonder how long Mcafee and other companies would stay in business if they charged for every update, when their software wasn't compatible.

You should think about a dual boot OS. Have win98 and winxp. It's an easy solution but to soom it's too much trouble to sit and wait for an older OS to load all of it's drivers

Aaron, I am having the same problem as well. I can't believe xtronics is charging for another upgrade! I already bought the windows upgrade from them and correct me if am wrong but we are still running windows, just a different version.

Figured out it was for sure that you had to update the software.
Of course they orginally wanted $50 for this. Yeah right!
