confused on which .ecu to use for 165
you guys talk about $6 en $32 . ecu files and such...but I don't understand which one I would need for my 165 ecm that I will swap in my 85 camaro....the 165 is out of a 89 TA...no chip in it...and if I went to GM, would I ask for an 89 TA 350 chip auto? or could I use for exemple an 87 Z28 350 auto chip...?
thanks
thanks
why not keep you stock ecm ?? whats so wrong with it ?the 165 ecm is alot better in terms of techonology but the 870 thats in the car now isnt that hard to tune.
if you were going to change the ecm and choose a code id suggest the $32. the fuel is esier to tune. the $6e seems to offer somewhat marginally improved driveability. its all in the end goal.

I can't find anything for the 870...no .ecu files to use with winbin nor any .bin to burn....so that's why I was gonna swap to 165....unless you know where I can get what I need for the 870....
if you goto www.tunercat.com thhave the nessacry stuff to edit your bin. your program code is $1f. so you will need tunercta and the $1f TDF. it should run you about $90 or so for everything. i assume you already have a eprom programmer ?
nop don't have squat...but, I do have a friend that burns his own chips for his cross fire vette, and I'm prety sure if I get him the brodcast code $1f he could burn me something...
