When did....

DIY Prom's."come out" or become popular?I am sure it was before 2001, but i need somthing for my Electronic Tech class, an article on a product involving New Technology of some sort, that started 2001 or later. I really love cars, and thought, why not do somthing on cars. ONStar has been around longer than that...Maybe there is a new software that is only been around a couple years?

Or just anything new technology with cars since Jan 01 thta you can think of would help . I need as many as you can think of really,I have to do thse about 10 more times or so . TIA

DIY-PROMing predates 2001 so it fails your class criteria of 2001 or later.

It's your class, you're getting the grade, I'd say posting ideas here for review is OK but asking to be spoon-fed is lame.

sorry if i upset you, but i was only asking for an idea for a report, i wasn't asking you to do the report. I didn't think it would be any harm if i just got some ideas from you guys, since i couldn't think of a thing that is involving cars and new technology.

Yeah, DIY is kinda old by now.

Why not try some stuff about Fuel Cells, on-board fuel cell preprocessors/reformers, direct-cylinder-fuel-injection, rotary-valvetrains, etc. There's a lot of new engine tech that just hasn't hit the masses yet. Since the stuff takes like 3-5 years to 'mature', odds are that anything which is on the road today predates your cutoff...

Don't get too sensitive on people kicking back here, that's just the mood.

What about the new Electronic Damping shocks that come on the new Vette? *Very* cool. Not sure how new they are though.

WTF is a rotary valvetrain?
