i pulled another me...

my car has been running like crap!!!
i thought i had a vats issue i fixed it but in the mean time i forgot to pull the paperclip pin out of the aldl... luckily(i think) i had pulled the gauge fues to get my car to crank. for some reason with the aldl hooked up the thing would not work until i found to day i had left the freakin pin in...
so i got that thing out... reinstalled the "gauge" fuse and it cranks and runs like poop. i just installed new plugs the other day when i put my headers on and today i did the 8.5 mm accel wires and a new distributor and rotor button. but i also pulled the plugs today and it showed that it was running rich lots of black soot... it has backfired alot especially when i let off the gas!! luckily i saw no flakes of metal on there!!! well i can't put the stock prom back in yet cause i broke one of the stupid pins when i pulled it out and i will have to wait a couple of days for my friend to make a new one if this one is fried. unless i fried the ecm and the prom is still good...??? also i pulled the codes and it blinks a 12 so hopefully the ecm is good!!!! i did a search but could not find the answer. i know i saw this on here b4 but i can't remember if it kills the prom or the ecm...???? well any info will help thanks

This isn't exactly DIY Prom related, but if you started it with the A and B terminals jumped you probly fried the ECM.
