749 and pocket progemmer?

I am in the process of converting my 730 to the 749. I have been doing some searching but can't seem to find the exact amswers.

1. I want to change the BPC but the only area in TC that I can find BPC is the BPC vs EGR%. Is this where I would entr the new values?

2. When I did the BPC calculation I came up with 98.46.

BPC=730.75 * (vol/rate)

Vol=713 (350 cid)
Rate=5.292 (42lb injectors)

Why is this value higher than stock? Isn't it the higher the number the more fuel it will add or am I way off?

3. Correct me if I am wrong. The "spark refferance angle" is the amount of spark that the distributor is set at base.

ie Distributor set at 6 degrees base, the SRA should read 6 in the PROM so that the ECM knows where the distributor sits.

4. Pocket Programmer question. When I go to program the 29c256 I enter the "start of device" at 4000 and the "end of device" at 7FF0 is this correct?

My current application is:
350, 10:1 cr, LT-1 intake, 42lb injectors, Dart Iron Eagle 200cc heads, .489/.489 218/224 112 LSA Lunati cam, Art Carr 700-R4 3500stall, Procharger F-1 12lbs of boost, 9 inch rear 4.10 gears.

I've never been able to get that injector constant arithmetic to "add up" .

But you can proportion it if you know (for your .BIN in factory configuration) the original cylinder size and original injector flow rate. You then multiply the original BPC value (in decimal) by Vol1/Vol2 and divide it by Flow1/Flow2.

I've seen this dealt with in detail on this thread, but couldn't see how the arithmetic was resolved. See the post by RBob on 05/09/03.

You'll also see that the BPC is set for EGR = 0% (again RBob on 05/08)

JohnL,

Thanks for the reply. I will do some more research and try your method and see how well everything works.

You don't happen to know anything about the Pocket Programmer question do you?

Thanks again.
