Working the bugs out
Guys, been having a slight problem that I am trying to take care of so that I can finally realize the mods I have recently added. When I first installed the HSR and 24# injectors, I was having problems with programming chips so I moved to the Flash proms. Problem solved in that arena.
I used to be able to get the car to rev under WOT to almost 6000 rpm and still be pulling when I had the initial ARAP.bin in there with the stock 22# programming. So I was dumping more fuel in there than the car thought. Well, I finally got the BLM's in line and then the WOT stuff fell off. OMINOUS_87 and I worked out a chip that had more fuel up top. Well... even still... I can't pull past 5500 anymore. A lot of speculation points toward valve float but according to my plugs they are "hot" which means that I am not getting enough fuel. I have experimented with more and more fuel but it never really corrects the problem.
I know that I should do plug cuts in this situation but there aren't any suitable places to do so around here. Also, do you have to be in 3rd gear where the LV8 is getting way up there? or can you do 2nd gear plug cuts too?
Plugs have a "white" electrode and the ceramic is silver on one side and very light tan on the other side but nearly white. But, all the readings I take datalogging say otherwise.
Start with the suggestions. I'll follow every one of them until I break the bank.
