in my 91 can i adjust the computer to compensate for a new gear swap or would i need a physical hard part?

 

From what I gathered the 7730 ECM can only make big changes (such as going from a 4,000ppm VSS to a 40,000 ppm VSS). It can't do small changes such as gear swaps. So in short, no. You'll still have to order the speedo gears to correct it.

I could be worng tho. :shrug: After doing many searches on that particular subject on here, I think I read prolly just about every VSS post on the prom board. lol It wont hurt to try and see if ya can do it.
