Stealth Ram Bin
In the process of putting this thing on my Vette. Does anyone have a bin that I can start tuning it with? Kind of a base line.
I noticed that the holley adj fp reg is not vacuum controlled so I'm definately gonna have to tune cruise mode!
Anything is appreciated.

The only down side is that the tpi fuel regulator uses vacuum to reduce fuel pressure at idle and light-mid throttle. The holley doesn't. So idle and mid range will be at the same pressure as wot. It is the same as running your present set up with the fp regulator vacuum line disconnected. It will run rich at idle and part throttle so some tuning will more than likely be required. I don't know for sure how much because I haven't installed it yet.
I know there are some folks on here running it so I figured I throw the question out there.
It is definately a kick a$$ set up though!

the adj. fuel pressure reg on the holley stealth ram is vaccum controlled. the vaccum hose comes off the back of the intake and connects over the adjuster on the AFPR. i have a bin you can start with but use it at your own risk. it is the one i use with vette ported heads and the zz-9 cam and it runs great for me. email me if you want it.

I notice you have an 89 Vette which means it runs MAF.
I did some tuning on a Stealth Ram on a ZZ4 and found it was very close to a Miniram on a ZZ4. This is on a SD setup where the stock bin needed to be modified (VE Tables) to run right.
However, on a Miniram with a ZZ4 that had MAF, the stock MAF bin worked very well with only some minor changes (injector size, turn off EGR, optimize spark and some tweaking with PE Fuel....which was probably off anyway).
But you should be able to use your stock bin with only minor changes (injector size and EGR) to start, and then just optimize the spark and PE fuel at your convienence.

I had to add a bunch of AE fuel to get the car moving and not give me a violent lean POP.
I started with the ARAP bin turning off EGR, chaning my injector constant, and then playing with AE and PE.
Don't know why, but the car hated highway mode... it would throw me a SES light and the car would hop around when i entered that mode... so I had to turn it off.

While I like the MAF Scalar tables of the ARAP bin, I don't like the spark tables. Too aggressive. Combine that with the extra spark of the highway mode and I think the spark advance is too much.
This may be what you encountered.

That is possible. Since then I made my own spark table and drastically lowered the cruise timing. Maybe I'll try highway mode again.
Good call, thanks

for me i mainly needed to add more Acceleration enrichment to get mine to move.
Most of my backfiring was lean pops through the intake.
And I'm Maf.

Almost double in my Acceleration Enrichment VS LV8 table.
The Stealth Ram has a larger plenum than TPI, and I've learned and listented to Grumpy that a larger plenum volume needs more AE for the lower Delta LV8s.
Watch your O2 readings, if you hit the gas and they spike lean (low mv) then you need more and sooner. Also go to the tables section and change the AE enable from 20delta lv8 to 15, and delta tps enable to like 3.2

Thanks. I'll give it a shot. I guess I just need to add more. I'm new at this so I tend to be a little conservative.
