Timing Tables

Hey guys I have a 350 TBI engine I'm putting into my car shortly and I'm roughing out a starting bin right now for it.

I have a 91 RS 305 5-speed. I planned on using the stock 305 bin and editing the VE tables to match the ANLU tables and editing the spark tables to match the stock L98 tables. The 350 I'm putting in is a stock L98 longblock just with a TBI on top instead of TPI.

I was looking at tables in TunerPro and the "Main Spark Advance" from the AUJP bin file looks to have a lot less timing than the stock "Main Spark vs. RPM vs. Load" table in the AXKW bin. Is there some kind of adder table in the TPI bin that I'm not seeing?

If anyone has any suggestions also as to go about this a better way feel free to throw them out there I'm always up for new ideas. Thanks.

No adders on the TPI code, but the '8746 code uses the main spark bias to subtract 20 degrees of SA from every point of the AXKW bin main spark table.

RBob.

Ok, thanks for the info RBob. Anyone else have any other ideas or opinions on this starting bin I'm going to use?
