A hac is translating that machine code into english so that a human can read thru all the instructions, and values, in english.

where do/can I find a full hac for a 87 camaro L98?
Do a search for BUA, fullname may be BUA_A.HAC or BUA_A.TXT, or BUA.PDF
Check for it at the diy-efi site and at the ECMGUYS site. A net search should find it some place.

Otherwise, there is no difference, round here.
i read it earlier. please elaborate. for some reason i thought a hack was a first time a specific ecu had been decoded and understood. what is the relationship between a tuning editor such as tunercat and a hack?

Thanks again for all the help. After spending some time paging through the hac I linked above I have come to the conclusion that a lot of it is still gibberish to me. Is there any type of hac walkthrough that can help me understand the trickier details of this thing. Most of it makes sense to me, but that is just because of my proir knowledge of how our ecms opperate. This knowledge is what I want this hac to expand on, and I'd rather not be making assumptions while hacking the hac, if you follow. Is there any help available similar to what I describe?

Snagged that while i was there, have a couple of friends doing some MAF cars, so now i have something new to play with as well(need to get the TTA out)
