Wideband datalogging HAC
Where exactly do I need to splice(which pin?) into my ECU to use the Mike Davis WB HAC with '165 & ARAP? And how do I identify it?
Then I know that Moates software shows the WB AFR in version 8.53....so I can log it...I just need to know how exactly I need to take the Voltage out of the WB and connect it to the ECU....
thks

Vout from DIY-EFI WB kit should be connected
to Pin D8 (TPS2, A/D channel 0) on the
1227165 ECM.
The WB AFR is displayed in the "Commanded AFR"
field of the ALDL stream, so it should be
able to be read by AND scan tool/package. The
Voltage-to-AFR lookup table was calibrated to
the published table to within +/- 0.5%.

OK I did that...but 2 things:
1 - The SES light is not on when I run the Mike Davis HACK...I was under the impression it was supposed to be.
2 - In the Target AFR field I see numbers, but they don't make any sense....I was seeing 10.1 - 11.3 or so....This is in either Moates scanning software or Tuner Pro RT.... Is there someting I am missing?
This is with the LM1 WB I borrowed, but I am getting the Zeitronix unit(on order) and would like to know how to datalog with the WB through the ECU when I get it.

Unless you modified it, the hac you're using is made to convert the output from the DIY-WB, not the LM-1. Since, on a graph, the DIY-WB output-to-AFR is a curve, and the LM-1 output is a straight line, it's understandable that you're seeing numbers that don't make sense.
If you're datalogging with TunerPro RT, you can apparently build a conversion/look-up table for your ALDL data. I'm going to try this shortly.

thks.
BTW have you ran your car at the track? I was thinking of getting a set of AS&M runners and a cam...maybe zz4 cam...so I would be greatly interested in knowing what your car runs.
Oh and if you manage to build a conversion/lookup table in TunerPro RT...let me know how it goes

Did you read my post on datalogging WB O2 with 165 MAF? That should have some more useful info there. Not the same scan tool you are using, but the idea is the same.
I just got this feature working with my setup. As previously stated, the output of the LM1 is linear, and the modified hac is not. Just need to program the LM1 output for a narrow range of AFR. ie just use it for PE tuning like 10.4 to 14.7, then/also set it up for your part-throttle cruise tuning.
Also, the check engine light on all the time does not seem to be with the 165 ecm. Just make sure you add the 'modded hac' with AFR tuner. Otherwise you will get the commanded AFR, not the WB AFR.

Poncho@home,
Unfortunately, no times to report since I haven't been to the track yet. I do have a G-tech, but I'm still a newbie, working on the high rpm/map areas of my VE tables, and I also want to get the WB datalogging working before I try much of the WOT stuff.
Nice times yourself, BTW.
