Pig rich when cold

The problem im haveing is that lately on our cool Houston mornings (40°F) my engine is pegging the BLM at 108 and the INT at 90. In the after noon once the temp is in the mid 60's the BLM's are where my tune is currently at 125-130ish. Also as imagined open loop driveability is awful in the mornings. Ecm is a 730 running a modified AUJP.

Hard to say why. With this being a transplant it may have to do with missing emissions equipment that is still enabled in the cal. Is the MAT sensor relocated by any chance. Or maybe the CTS & MAT connectors are switched. May also want to try a stock calibration and see what happens.

I'm running EGR still but no AIR equipment and have the enable turned up in the bin. MAT sensor is in factory location in manifold. I don't have any coolant flowing through the throttle body though. Connectors are in correct locations. A stock calibrations runs waaaaay rich across the whole board. Am going to experiment with the 2 MAT tables and post my results.

I was having similar driveability issues, but mine was due to a lean condition.

Using Tuner Cat, I found three tables that affected open loop tuning, closed loop fueling and one other I can't remember.

I increased the percentage the ECM can compensate when cold. It was at 1%, increased to 5% and driveability is greatly improved.

Also there is the AFR vs load vs temp table that you can tweak.

Just poke around like I did you may be pleasantly surprised

I'll try to post the exact tables later on tonight once I get my laptop out of the car while i"m at work

Ok, tables that I have found need to be adjusted for cold weather..... this is through my own experimentation and research on this board.

These tables are in Tuner Cat, not sure if it applies to any other software

'Open Loop Change to Fuel/Air Vs Coolant Temp' - I needed to increase the percent change at 20 and 8*C (68 and 46*F)

'Open Loop Change to Fuel/Air vs MAP' - Increased it by 3% across the board

'Start up Enrichment vs Coolant Temp' - Increased by 5% at 32*C and colder

Hope that helps, as it sounds you need to do the opposite.

Heated O2?.
See what the cross counts are.
If the O2 gets lazy (cold) the cross counts drop.
If the O2 is relocated further downstream or with headers, you might need to get a heated one.

I guess I should say I'm running a heated O2

Well I think I found my problem. This evening I let it sit in the driveway running and as the MAT went up (117ish) the BLMs shot up to 137 to 140. Went in adjusted the MAT multiplier table and got the BLMs close to 128 again. BTW im running a heated O2 and the IM wideband right after the pipes merge to the single pipe(base of the Y-Pipe).
