NEW winALDL log program..
if you had a program that could directly open a winALDL log, and do whatever you want.. what would you want it to do?
would you want it to have a real time playback?
graphing functions? if so what kind? be specific.
what would you want it to do? what would be useful to YOU?
being a bored computer programmer, i wrote a simple program that opens the ALDL log and plays it back in real time... so i can watch the lil speedo move and act just like it did on my drive to work yesterday.... cute, but pretty useless.
i might as well make something useful out of it... like some kind of program that opens a winALDL log and lets you analize it easier then a spreadsheet lets you....
i just need ideas...

graphing options would be ok, but the biggest hurdle is the 160baud speed. i want to do the lockers, but for just a hobbiest electronics person that is quite a project, especialy since it needs a scope (according to the directions)

i can do graphing.. thats not a problem..... knowing what to graph and how to show it is what id like to know..
as for the baud speed.. yea it kinda sucks..
i can avg numbers and get middle points made up.... but thats not the most accurate way to do it...... Junior Member

Panalyzer is a free prog for analysing winALDL data logs.

I spent a little time playing with Panalyze and it gets a definite thumbs down from me.. it works, but damn it sucks. There's a definite need for something superior, MrDude

i downloaded it this morning, but i havent gotten a chance to look at it yet... my day comes and goes, some days (like today) i only get 3 or 4 mins free at a time.... other times, i have a couple hours... and thats when im writing the software...
i'll look into it, if nothing else, it should spark some ideas.
