I am trying to reprogram my chips. The type of chip I use w/ my ecm is 27c32. I ordered five brand new chips when I bought the pp2. I verified that all of the chips were erased. All data is FF. But I can't reprogram any of them. Does anyone have any trouble shooting ideas for me? I can't find any in the searches.

Read the instructions for pp2 and make sure u have the voltage setting/chip setting correct :-)
Also make sure u have no backgrd apps running as it makes pp2 get stupid sometimes
later
Jeremy
PS have u tried searching by your chip type here, im sure your not the only that has had issues

Yes, I am using the 27c32 setting for the chip. I thought that the voltage setting was chip specific. I am not running any background programs, including explorer. Yes, I tried searching for the chip type but I didn't find anything relevant to my current problem. I read the aftermarket chips and 2 of them say nmc27c32qe and 3 of them say nmc27c32q. Is this the problem or are they compartible?

Those older EPROMs are a pain. The ones you get are pulls and alot of them dont work. I got a bunch of them and only a couple of them worked. Might be easier to get an adapter from craig and use the newer flash stuff. I use 28C64B EEPROMs. Program at light speed and are alot easier to use then the UV erase stuff.

Is this a 24 pin devise, that you can use instead of the 2732s?. Do you need to double stack the bin?.
TIA
