Why is my ECU not learning?
Why is my ECU not learning?
I'm setting up a TBI system on my father's truck using a 16197427 ECU. Closed loop and BL appear to be functioning fine. I'm using a basic autoXray scan tool. When I key off and key back on, the BL values all appear to have reset!!
The most obvious cause I could think of was that the b+ was wired instead to ignition, but this is not the case. B+ is wired correctly, as is the ignition +.
I spoke to my coworker jeremy (RednGold86Z), and he mentioned seeing a similar problem in his GTA which has a '165 ecu I believe.
What is the common problem in both instances that is keeping our ECU's from storing on powerdown? Are some ECU's like that from the factory? Has ANYBODY else seen this?

When I run closed loop, I'm generally pretty close to 128s so it's not an issue, in that case.
