Well I have been fighting many of problem this yeartraction wise, track tech wise and rocker studs.
I have broken a few 3/8 studs even with girdle on- found 8 gold race rockers with 7/16 studs on ebay for cheap.
Put them on today and went to track,First 2 passes had some wheel spin going both 11.2 @ 120.
Removed 1/2 lb more air and was rewarded with 11.094 @ 121.7
with my new best 1.49 60ft.
Next increased timing from 36 to 38 via prom, Had a little spin off line and ran exact 11.094 @ 121.97 with a 1.51 60ft.

DA was 2000 ft above so air was not great but can't complain..

I think that the studs have gotten so weak due to my high spring pressure, that they are deflecting alot costing me lift - soon as money permits will get other 8 rockers and see what that brings.

Still raced pretty much as driven to track and on pump gas and street driven regularly.
Never seen a trailer yet - ohh yeah, still stock 10 bolt and 700 trans still going strong after 3yrs+ of track and street abuse.. Shhhh, don't let them know they are supposed to break.

corrected ET: 10.83@125

Congrats:

I don't understand the ,
Pushing 10s with a street car, just doesn't seem too bad to me. Not to mention with a 700R. I'm not a 700 fan, by any means, that 1-2 gear spread just doens't thrill me at all.

lol, Thanks Bruce.
I guess the sad face is because I have been chasing that 10.9999999 for so long, if I could just hit the good air without
some sort of issue.
This summer Pennsylvania has been plagued with 80% plus humidity every day, its hard get a race day thats not rained out, and if you do then it supposed to anyway.

I know what you mean about the 1-2 shift, I just can't give up the OD yet. Maybe if it goes ill do a 200..

Thanks again

Nice. . .
Yes, that is cooking. I'm sure once the weather gets cooler this Fall that 10 run will happen. What is the elevation of the track you are running at?

Those times are impressive. Just curious; are you running 24lb injectors, lots of expensive gas, and a MAF in the intake track ? Sorry, I just had to say it because the combo looks so similar only faster with a MINIRAM, 10 bolt, and 700r4!!!! AAHHHHHHH

24's? Those are way too big! J/K
Actually I am running 30s and they are against the ropes right now.
Thank you.

How radical does your cam act 87_TA? What RPM do you spin it to? Just wondering because I was considering something with similar duration for a 355.

Oh, and are your AFR heads ported or out of the box? Happen to know flow #s?

That only gives you 700 ft to gain with good weather (the 2000ft DA vs 1300 ft elevation). Then again, a clear high pressure front comes through and you'll be there. Again, nice time.

No,
Actually Rob last year in oct. we had a few days that the DA was
down to 0 feet and even negative one day.
Tracks like MIR and Englishtown see corrected altitudes as much as 1500 ft below sea level.
Kinda funny, one guy on this board posted his corrected time slower than actual because of that.

OK, I didn't realize that. But thinking about it standard air is at around 72 F and 15% humidity? (I really should look that up again) and 101 KPa. So a cold day with high pressure could drop the DA below the elevation.

See what happens when brain isn't quite engaged yet
