OBD I cable to serial question.
Has anyone ever tried this companies cable on the TunerPro program??
Scroll about half way down, its only $30.00 for the cable. I know Craig Moats has one too but he only has the USB version and my computer's USB port no longer functions...
Besides its only $30 compared to $80

unfortunately, the single trans cable will only work at 160 baud. If you want to look at the 8192 baud datastream, you need to use either the max232 circuit or the 2 transistor one.
Here's the links:

I imagine the $30 Ease cable is short and will just connect to thier OBDI interface, which has like a 25pin serial connector. after the interface you goto your PC serial port with a 9pin cable.
You could cut the end of the 30$ EASE cable off and put your own end on it I suppose....but the the cable is not that long to begin with..
PS I have the EASE Scan tool personal version for OBDI, that is how know this..

I would imagine you could still buy an extension cable with a 9 pin on one end and a 25 pin on the other...
