OK I'm really confused now

As I had stated before, I downloaded Tunerpro last night and was looking through the different items that you can modify.

Now here's where I confused myself. During the course of my reading, I discovered that I need the $48 ECU, but when I changed the ECU to the $48, all the editable items changed, along with a lot of what I *thought* I was understanding.

The main problem seems to be that a lot of the editable items that I was trying to figure out (for my cold start problem to begin with) simply ain't there after loading the $48 ECU and a sample 7747 bin.

IS the combination of ECU and BIN that I should be looking at.

And am I correct in assuming that the ECU shows the areas that you cam modify and that the 7747 BIN contains the actual items that you can modify?

you need $42 for your 7747. $48 is for the 7748.

The 'chip' is actually the constants portion along with some of the code of the calibration, or basically the program that runs on the computer. Each table or constant that you see is at a specific address in the bin. The definition file has the addresses as well as the conversions needed to make the raw data actually appear as something you can understand. If your using the wrong definition, all the data you see in the tables is basically garbage since its just a bunch of unrelated stuff read off of the bin. You need the ecu for the 7747/$42 ecm.
