OMG this is confusing

ok, i've been working with getting my autoprom for about eight months now (on and off) and i can't get an after market chip (29C256) to work with my set up. I have an 8747 with craig's G2 adpt. and a ZIF socket. If i use all that and a stock chip everythings works great, just like it suposed to. Now if i try to you my aftermarket chip than I get a flickering SES light. Just wondering if any one has herd of this type of thing and hoping to get advice on it. Thanks!

Yeah i tried that. And many other off the wall chip offsets and none of them worked. I even tried to stack the same bin over and over to fill the chip up with that bin making location and there for chip off set not a problem right? well let me know what you think crag and others thanks.
