TunerPro RT Problem

I have been using ECM852 as my data logger with no problems. Today I wanted to try and see if TunerPro RT would work just as well and I ran into a problem.

I think I set up everything well as TunerPro RT establishes a connection. I can see the values being displays such as RPM, BLM etc.... They all are fine. The problem is once I want to try and record a session I get an error That it failed to create file, and I cannot record.

Another thing that does not seem to work is the ALDL dash option. The dashes come up but they seem like they fail to load completely and are just blank.

Could it be my Laptop is too slow to use TunerPro RT?

It is a Pentium 133mhz and I am using the AKM data cable. I also have ostrich that I would like to use in the future but If i cant get the data logging I don't think I can get ostrich to work either.

Any advice?

For the aldl Dash problem, if you right click on one of the blank squares a popup window should show up that will allow you to select what you want to be displayed in that square.

In the aldl setup window did you set a file name for where it is to be saved first?

I did not set a file name. I tried to do it but it said file does not exist and then I had the option of YES or NO. I said NO and nothing happened. Keep getting error.

I'll try the ALDL Panel by clicking on the box.

If you try to record to a file that doesn't exist, it will have to be created first. Hit YES and it will work.

Okay I will give that I go, I would have but I ran out of time. The way I understood the prompt was that NO the file does not exist so create it.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
