Need help mounting TPS on a carb
Does anyhave have an example of how to mount a TPS on a carb. I have an Edelbrock. I am trying to think of a way to mount it on the secondary blades (my secondarys open at approx 65% throttle). This would allow me to unlock the TCC when the secondarys open. And the TCC would be locked when only the primarys are fueling. Of course there would be rpm limits to the TCC.
Stock 747 code.
Any pictures or ideas would really help.

might want to look into a TPI or GN sensor I believe both of them have an arm that sticks out of the TPS. TBI just has a socket and would be hard to do anything with.

I was running a TBI setup, then I bolted on a carburator, and kept the computer to run everything, but fuel (ie: spark, and TCC).
Most people who convert from TBI to a carburator, pull the computer right out and just use an old style HEI distrubutor. And if they want TCC lockup (700r-4) they usually mount a toggle switch on the dash.
I didn't want this, as I like have total control over the spark tables.
But the TPS is my only problem right now, and don't have control over the TCC, execpt for forced lockup @ 100km/h.

The TPS on my Holley TBI has a lever arm swiper. With a mounting bracket it would be possible to use. Another idea is a linear pot. It would be a lot easier to install but the more robust designs are $$. Other than that, what about having a microswitch that disables the lockup and lower the vss manditory lockup to something like 38mph?

Earlier trucks with the 700 (perhaps TH350C too?) used an entirely standalone TCC setup.
One vacuum switch, the brake pedal switch, think that prety much covers it.
I don't have any complaints about how mine operated.
Would seemingly be a much easier/less complicated than rigging a TPS up to a carb not designed for it.
