Go balk to the stickies and read the "Intro" ones thouroughly.
U have a lot of mods. Your life is infitestimally easier if u learn on a stock engine(wish i could go back and do it that way :-))
Go slow and dont beat on it, play close close attention to knock and verify it on the plugs(pull them out)
That will also help you to find out whether your car is rich/lean or loading up.
Make sure everything is set right in your base bin accordingly, like Injector constant , fan temps to more or less match your t-stat range and so on.
One note before you go any further, give your engine a very serious once over. Make sure you pull the plugs and check them out, ohm your plug wires, test the coil. Ohm the injectors and any other checks you can think of. Header leaks ahead of 02 sensor, etc.
Any small imperfections now will affect your tune greatly. Tuning around a mechanical or electrical gremlin is about impossible and will cause you fits.
Search for MAF, 32B, $6E, scalar tables(only if u have a wideband)
later

thanks, my plugs looked good i had just pulled them out the other day, new coil, new wires, i have changed for injector constants. my fans are always on. allmy exhaust was recently done, and its ball/flange style gaskets, no leaks here.
im quite confident everything is up to par. im looking for some exactly what tables i should be messing with to bring my blm down (128 correct)?

Like I said.
search for what I recommended.
Also read everything under the 165 ecm section in the "Intro to Tuning Guide" up top.
Links to all options for adjusting BLM on MAF cars

Go to the stickies up top.
Something you should have done weeks ago.....
128 means the ecm is not correcting the long term fuel trim.
Meaning the tables are maintaining 14.7 as the o2 sensor see's it
w/o any adjustment to the BLM.
Think about it, all your mods would do what to your afr?

im sorry but this tuning 165 ecm your telling me to find in the stockies arent covering my questions, maybe im just blind.
The stickies can look like a foreign language at first.
That's where the searching part comes in.
Jeremy listed a few search criteria.
Once you dig around some and keep reading the stickies things will start to click. It takes a while. Some take longer than others. Some give up....
You also need to look at the other stickies besides the 165 stuff. Some of the functions are very similar regardless of ecm. I don't recall if the BLM & Int explanation is in the 747 or 730 section. You might look at the 747 fueling.txt that Rbob wrote. It's at DIY-efi originally. Not sure if it got on moates.
Look through every directory on Diy efi and moates. Never know what you'll find. You should also go to every link in Traxion's intro. It's like doing a search on google. It leads to all sorts of tangents. But your learning along the way.

one newbi to another,
1) read all the stickys at the top.
2) search on your specific questions and read everything.
3) read every current post on a regular basis.
The more you read and 'try' to follow along with things the easier it gets. Even if somoene is working on a completly different car/tune/setup alot of info will transfer to what your working on.

I'm also a newbie, and I agree. I've been reading stickies, searching on what seems relevant here and other sites, return to the stickies and scan for other relevant stuff that I can make sense of with my growing understanding, repeat as required. The hardest thing is not the learning how to do it, but rather not letting yourself get overwhelmed and give up.

I think I lurked on the diy-efi list for over a year before I finally got down to trying my hand at it. Are you seeing any knock counts from that gear drive?
