datalogging problem

datalogging problem

i recently bought an Ostrich and i am using TP RT. i can emulate and connect to the ecu but can not datalog. nothing on the dashes, values, or flags. i have downloaded all correct files. (i think) any help, please?

i have a 95 c1500 350ci tbi 4l60e w/ 7427, $od, bjym ecu

downloaded files
od a217 v1.0.ads
$od v2.xdf
bjym od.bin
od v1.02.ecu
riched20.dll

What type of ALDL cable are you using? How do you have the ALDL portion of the TunerPro preferences set up?

Grab the 0D engine A217 ads file off of Moates' file manager. I've verified that it works.

i am using ostrich with the supplied usb cable. do i need to run a seperate aldl cable with the ostrich?

Indeed. The Ostrich is an emulation-only device.

ALDU1 for a USB cable, or a serial equivelant (if you have a serial port). Craig should be coming out with a serial ALDL cable shortly too.

Alternately, you could build your own. Search these boards on "2 transistor" and/or "MAX232".
