WTF happened to ecu files?

The ecu files are gone and they're all been converted to xdf. WTF? I'm disapointed that there was a "clean up" that imposes the exclusive use of TunerPro. Any chance we can get the ecu files hosted?

I believe Craig cleaned them up and/or converted all to XDF.

Some people had issues and he asked about converting them and no one said anything.

This is from memory, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think thats what happened.

Pretty sure he wasnt trying to impose anything though :-)

A script could probably be written to convert between the two. Does anyone want to learn Python?

How could he not be imposing anything when the only software the supports xdf is TunerPro? And the author of the format is also the author of TuenrPro...
I'd like ecu files for those of us working with older machines and software other than TunerPro. Nothing against the use of either, I just want the choice. Does this mean I have to do some file hosting of my own? If so, I will.

For all the time and effort they've put into DIY, to ----- them out for changing formats, takes some real -----. In case you missed the memo, it's exactly the attitude thay you're showing here, that's twisted at least me, to be alot less forcoming about answers. You, and ya'll can't do enough for me attitude, it just pathetic.

You might, just might, think about that old saying, about, *Looking a Gift Horse in the Mouth*..

Not to mention the *WTF*, get a grip...

Craig speaks about it here:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=338961

It was not done with any ulterior or otherwise nefarious motives.

Sorry about that, and the delays in getting the ECU files back up. They're there now.

I'd appreciate any help screening out 'copyrighted' material. The last thing I want is to have some universally-proven a$$hole giving me $hit for no FUC(!NG reason! That's not just me though.

Anyways, it's back up. Take another look in my files section and it should show up. If you see anything obviously redundant, old/obsolete, or missing, just let me know and I'll do what I can to keep it cleaned up / updated.

Your reply was pathetic. To call me out like that takes some real -----. To change format is one thing, to remove the hard work done for free by others to force users to adapot a file format that is only compatible with 1 program right now is un called for. For all the time and effort they've put into DIY... HELLO BRUCE, anybody home? I put a lot of MY effort into making some ecu files only to have them replaced!!! I think I'm entitled to my opinion on that subject without being told my attitude is twisted. I didn't imply they couldn't do enough for me so don't twist my words or read incorrectly into them. I would host the files myself it Craig didn't want too. As in giving Craig the option. Sorry for being too informative of my future actions .
The WTF was to call out something I find disturbing. Like your reply... WTF, get a grip...
And Bruce, what's pathetic is your ego. If somebody doesn't pat you on the back enough you think they're spoiled and so you don't share... how pathetic. Grow up, mature, understand that for people to move forward we need to open up. Get over the whole DIY_WB crap. The more you hang on it the more they win.

Right, and again, thanks for showing just how much folks haven't done for you.

Stop whining, if you can't do something, ie change formats ask for help, don't whine about what others do, just cause it ruffles your feathers.

The WTF, is a real reflection on you're ability to talk in a civilized manner.

My ego, LOL, you really, need to take alook at yourself. Who started off, ripping about a format change?, that just didn't suit who's purposes?.

Save your trash talking for the sandbox, the WG hasn't got a thing to do, with your whining about others not being in line with YOUR wishes.

Grow-up, LOL, again, look at who's whining.

You find disturbing, LOL, oh poor you..

BTW, as it did turn out, your whining was out of place anyway. All you would have had to have done was just ask a question, and leave the *poor Jon* part out.....

So your WTF's and attitude were all out of place.

Yep, and you talk about others growing up.
Thanks for the laughs

Be careful, Jon. Everything else aside, that's speculative and accusatory, and quite frankly incorrect. But more than anything it's not appreciated.

This sure is a whole lot of noise over what started as a simple misunderstanding.

After thinking about this a bit more, you're right, you are acting like PG, at TE.

And that, is truely sad.

Like you have many clues about it anyway. Thanks for again, showing how ego driven you are. It's just all sorts of laughs how so many accuse others of having issues, when they're the ones, with the major problems.
