1227165 F A N...?

Looks in sig for mods. Here is the deal, my fan relay is hooked up exactky how it looks in the drawing (just clink on the link below). Why won't it turn on? My car keeps overheating BAD! Funning thing is it works in limp home mode and when i jumper pins A to B on the ALDL. Can someone eclplain to me why this is happening? Is it a bad chip, a bad burn, etc...

If it works as you say with A+B jumped, all the circuits are good and properly connected. So it has to be a control issue. Is it possible your .bin constant for fan on is improperly set, as in you are overlooking that the file is in celcius not fahrenheit? I turn mine on at 80 deg celcius FWIW.

I'll take a look. But the only things ive modified so far are the injector constant, unchecked vats, and removed emmisions stuff. the bin was origionally the APYP because im running the 350 with a t5. Hope this leads you to more possible conclusions.

Thankyou

I have a note here that shows "C1" is the primary fan output on the 165.
Can someone else confirm/deny that ?

I don't see an "E" terminal on the 165 at all so not sure what to think.
On a 730 the fan would be "E8".
E9 on 730/749 is the EGR solenoid that would probably turn on when in limp or diagnostic mode.

Fans (according to the code) are supposed to turn on around 200, so why will the ecm not send the information and power up the relay?

Could this possibly be my brand new ecm temperature sender in the intake?

Use a camaro bin.

I think they have the fan on/off logic reversed in the Vette bins.

Alright, got it. It was the N/O fan toggle switch.
